Since our announcement yesterday there’s been a significant amount of discussion in the blogosphere. Some blogs, like ALT1040, the iPod Observer, iHeartApple and a burst of light think that we may have the “inside scoop” because we’re offering a free Apple Video iPod. Others including The Unofficial Apple Blog and Digital Tech Life, are questioning whether our contest is legitimate or just a big hoax. var/log/rux and Chris Perardi are just happy that an opportunity exists to get a free Video iPod.
The contest (with Video iPod prize) that we launched yesterday is real - the future of consumer driven video is in the making and is up to all of us. Clearly, it is up to Apple if they want to release a Video iPod - the only inside information we have is what it appears consumers and bloggers have been asking for.
We know that consumers should not be content with the choice of programming that cable companies provide and the so called "high speed" of cable modems and DSL. We also know that convergence is coming - the lines between the Internet and TV are disappearing. Bloggers imaginations about the future has a way of becoming reality.
Do you have a vision of the future? If you do, then please enter our contest and tell us what your vision is. The possibilities are endless. Just as it is possible for you to have interactive content on your television and virtually unlimited bandwidth in your home or office, it is also very possible for Apple to add a Video iPod to its product list by the end of the year. We definitely want it to be released and we know that the technology to make it happen is also very feasible.
Consumers of all types must be able to remove themselves from their contentious state in the “here and now” and realize that the possibilities truly are endless.
So, what's the deal? Are you giving away an Apple Video Ipod or not?

As it states in the official rules, if an Apple Video iPod is made available before the end of the year, we will present one to the first-place winner of the contest.

Ok, so if no Video iPod is released in 2005, what if the contest winner was given the option to receive one if it is released in 2006 or accept the alternate prize?

Yeah. I love your contest. I think you could make the true broadband a thing of the present, not just something to dream about. And you can also make Apple release their alien technology video iPod of the future.
Nothing like voting with your feet. People Power!
I'm sure you know, seeing as you read engadget etc. that the "video iPod" exists, but Apple just hasn't made it... Other Companies Have Though and you could probably use another product.. you could even scratch an apple into the back.
What is the future of the Internet to you? A place for us all to swap videos on blogs?
Public access cable TV? Another thing to watch intently for information? What?
Email me.. I'd love to know what you want how you want to mould the future!

I believe the Apple Video iPod will ship by next Spring. But I'm not sure it will ship in time for Christmas. The iPod nano is quite an engineering feat. And Apple may be taking their time to get the Video iPod right after Christmas rather than before it. I believe in the million channel universe. The Sony Playstation Portable is a Video iPod. Just not THE Video iPod from Apple.

I'm interested in such offer,The sound quality in these podcasts is really poor. I feel bad about complaining about something that is free, but I think it is important.
